The essence of our country is reflected by Augustus Saint Gaudens
in his beautiful Striding Liberty design for the 1907-1933 $20
U.S, based on the Double Eagle gold coin. On the back a nest
of American eagles symbolizes our American families. Only these
gold coins have their quality and purity guaranteed by the U.S.
government, who by law has restricted their minting to use only
gold actually mined in the U.S. Since it came onto the market
in 1986, the four sizes of American Gold Eagles -- 1 oz., ½ oz., ¼ oz.
and 1/10 oz. -- have become the most widely traded gold bullion
coins in the world.
